This year ultimate victory just slipped from the grasp of the crew of Edmond de Rothschild Group. However, Pierre Pennec and his three crew certainly don’t have anything to be ashamed about in their very fine second place given the fantastic line-up that made up the fleet for this year’s Extreme Sailing Series and the intensity of this 2011 season.

The Nice Grand Prix, an event synonymous with light airs, rounded off this evening with victory going to the crew of Edmond de Rothschild Group. Pierre Pennec and his three crew controlled the seventh act of the Extreme Sailing Series 2011 to perfection.

Nostalgia just isn’t what is used to be on the shores of Lake Geneva. The passion for sailing that his father Edmond passed down to Baron Benjamin de Rothschild has the sparkle of the sea, the taste of salt and the fragrance of fine sails.
